Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective July 13, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SPRITEbot ("the Bot"), a Discord application operated by the SPRITEbot team ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Bot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

These Terms are between you and us. They do not replace, modify, or override Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, which also apply to your use of the Bot.

Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years or the minimum age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the Bot. By using SPRITEbot, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable Use

You may not use the Bot to submit, distribute, or interact with content that:

  • Violates Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
  • Constitutes harassment, abuse, or threats toward others
  • Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or extremist content
  • Contains sexually explicit or violent material
  • Attempts to exploit, dox, or harm others in any way
  • Interferes with the Bot's operation or attempts to abuse its systems
  • Violates any applicable local, national, or international laws

Subscriptions and Billing

SPRITEbot offers a paid Premium tier that unlocks additional features for an entire Discord server. Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Discord's built-in subscription system.

  • All billing, payment processing, and refunds are handled by Discord. We do not directly collect payment information.
  • Subscription terms, renewal, and cancellation followDiscord's subscription policies.
  • Cancelling a subscription ends Premium access at the close of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Service Availability

SPRITEbot is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or response time. The Bot may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

In the event of extended outages affecting paid subscribers, we may offer service credits or billing adjustments at our discretion, but we are not obligated to do so.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently revoke access for users who violate these Terms. This includes:

  • Blocking the user or associated account from accessing the Bot
  • Reporting misconduct to Discord Trust & Safety
  • Revoking access without notice or refund where warranted

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create through the Bot (characters, game configurations, roleplay text). By using the Bot, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content as needed for the Bot to function.

SPRITEbot's name, branding, and code remain our property.

Disclaimer

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not responsible for user-submitted content, data loss resulting from service interruptions, or the consequences of interactions initiated through the Bot.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Bot. Our total liability for any claim related to the Bot is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Bot's support channels or website. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Contact

For questions about these Terms, contact the SPRITEbot maintainer through the support server or the contact channels linked from the Bot.
